I work with people who are struggling with anxiety, stress, trauma, or the effects of difficult experiences, helping them understand what’s going on and find practical ways forward.

Wild Dartmoor - mental health benefits

I feel passionate about nature in all its forms, and this influences my counselling work.  There's not much to rival the wild beauty of Dartmoor or the quiet power of the sea on the Devon coast.  The ability of nature to lift the human spirit is unrivalled.

All the photos you see here have been taken by me and my family on our wild wanderings, mainly in the stunning Devon landscapes. 

How I got here...

My long background in the Royal Navy means I bring a calm, clear-headed approach, even when things feel overwhelming.

My life experiences bring a huge amount to who I am as a counsellor.  I tend to work in a calm, straightforward way, while still being warm and understanding.  My clients find that balance helps them feel at ease and able to make real progress.

I’ve worked with adults, students and young people, including those affected by trauma and domestic abuse, so I’m used to adapting how I work to suit each person.​​​
