REWIND TRAUMA THERAPY
Exeter

Ease your trauma without re-living it

If you're living with the effects of trauma or PTSD, you might feel like your body and mind are stuck in survival mode. Rewind Trauma Therapy is a gentle way to ease those symptoms, without needing to go over everything that happened, if you'd rather not.

I'm fully trained in the Rewind Technique for PTSD through IARTT (the International Association for Rewind Trauma Therapy) and I offer this approach from my counselling room in Exeter.

The Rewind Technique is endorsed by PTSD UK

What is Rewind Trauma Therapy?

Safe, calm, scientifically proven support for trauma & PTSD

When we go through something traumatic, the brain often stores the memory in a way that makes it feel like it's still happening; vivid flashbacks, intense emotions or physical reactions that come out of nowhere. This is part of why trauma can feel so stuck and hard to move past.

Rewind Therapy helps reprocess that memory and move it into the past, where it belongs. The technique helps your brain change the way it stores the traumatic experience so it no longer feels live, intrusive, or overwhelming.  Many people choose Rewind because it offers real relief from trauma without having to go into all the details.

What to expect in Rewind Trauma Therapy sessions?

Origins of the Rewind Technique

The Rewind Technique was developed by Dr David Muss in the 1990s to help people process trauma safely and gently. It’s now used by therapists around the world and valued for being non-intrusive trauma therapy that often works in fewer sessions than traditional methods.

Though it began with visualisation and imagery work, it has been refined over time and is now supported by clinical evidence. For many, it provides long-term relief from trauma symptoms and flashbacks.
